BIOGRAPHY

Dominican-American artist, producer, composer and musician Pedro Fortunato, was born and raised in New York City and brings a fresh contemporary perspective to tropical music by incorporating both cultures into his art and embracing his roots in the diaspora.

As a sideman Pedro has recently shared the stage with renowned artists like Karol G, Yasser Tejeda, Riccie Oriach, Zeo Muñoz and others.
Pedro’s music shares vulnerability and self-reflection in a fast-paced world, creating a space for listeners to explore love, emotion, and consciousness.

Fortunato’s most recent 2025 EP Verano Fugaz, continues to innovate within the tropical genres, especially Merengue with his rst single La Niña Que Conoci, setting an upbeat yet vibey tone starting with a catchy saxophone melody and telling the story of a short lived NYC romance. The second single No Necesito Nada, also a Merengue, is a positive upbeat beach vibe, highlighting the human necessity of being in community, the simplicity of going with the ow, enjoying nature and forgetting about the material things in modern day society.
