Mariachi Real De Mexico de Ramon Ponce

El Mariachi Real De México fue fundado en la ciudad de Nueva York en 1991 por el señor Ramon Ponce y su hijo Ramon Ponce Jr. En la actualidad el Mariachi Real De Mexico es considerado el mariachi mas importante de la ciudad de Nueva York y el Noreste de Estados Unidos. Desde su inicio la agrupación tuvo gran aceptación del publico en general. Durante todos estos años han realizado una innumerable cantidad de eventos públicos y privados. Se han presentado en los mejores escenarios incluyendo Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, Madison Square Garden, Radio City Music Hall, Town Hall y muchos mas. Han acompañado a grandes artistas como, Juanes, Ana Gabriel, Marco Antonio Solís, Paulina Rubio, Pablo Montero, Tito Nieves, Lila Downs entre otros. En Mayo del 2009 El Mariachi Real de México acompaño al Maestro Placido Domingo en un concierto con mas de 3,000 personas en el Constitution Hall en Washington DC. El Embajador de México Arturo Sarukan agradeció al Mariachi Real de México por haber llevado la música de Mariachi por primera vez a la Opera de Washington.

El Mariachi Real De México ha participado también en eventos importantes como la Boda de Thalia y Tommy Mottola. Los cumpleaños de Bruce Springsteen, Henry Kissinger, Botero, Placido Domingo, Alfonso Cuaron, Gwyneth Paltrow, Jerry Seinfeld, Dr Oz, y mas. Sus apariciones en television incluyen Los Latin Grammy, Sabado Gigante, Despierta America, El Show de David Letterman, Conan O’Brien Show, Martha Stewart Show, TLC, Comedy Central, Televisa y muchos mas. Fueron también protagonistas del episodio “Viva Cake Boss” del programa Cake Boss en TLC.
Participaron también en producciones discográficas con Tito Puente y Eddie Palmieri “Masterpiece” ganador del Grammy (Cielito Lindo – La Negra Medley), Paramore – Riot (Missery Business). Grabaron el tema del luchador Alberto del Rio de la WWE y la música para el episodio “Los Galácticos” de Los Backyardigans para Nickelodeon.

Our Story

Mariachi Real De Mexico was founded in 1991 by Ramon Ponce and his son Ramon Ponce Jr. This year Mariachi Real De Mexico is proudly celebrating 31 years. Mariachi Real De Mexico is considered to be the ambassador of mariachi music and the most important and sought after mariachi ensemble in New York City and the North East of the United States.

Since the beginning Mariachi Real De Mexico has had great acceptance by the general public. They have done countless of public and private events such as: Concerts, Corporate Events, Festivals, VIP, Fundraisers, Weddings, Birthdays and all types of social events.

With the help of several organizations Mariachi Real De Mexico founded The Mariachi Academy of New York. MANY opened its doors on July 2002. MANY is a non-profit organization 501c3 devoted to teach the beautiful music and tradition of mariachi. This is the first program of its kind on the entire East Coast of the United States. The idea for the Mariachi Academy of New York came from the Ponces due to the high interest in Mariachi music by the general public. Mariachi Real De Mexico is proud to be part of this program thus keeping the beautiful music and Mariachi Tradition Alive!
